At Launch we offer comprehensive Literacy and Mathematics assessments for primary school-aged children. These are administered 1:1 in a calm, stress-free environment by qualified teachers. The assessments are screen free, hands-on and interactive. This allows teachers to gain insight into the strategies your child is using and identify any gaps or areas for extension in their learning. Assessments are not fixed to a grade level, instead they allow students to move along a continuum in order to accurately identify their achievement level. Aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, Launch Assessments assess students in Literacy and Mathematics. Our Literacy assessments cover phonological awareness, phonics, reading, writing and spelling. Our Mathematics assessments cover all aspects of number, including; counting, place value, addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, fractions, problem solving and algebra.

How it works:

 

1. Book in for a pre-assessment for either Literacy or Mathematics ($90 per assessment). If you would like your child to be assessed for both, you will need to book two separate appointments.

 

2. One of our experienced teachers will work 1:1 with your child to assess their individual learning needs. This is an opportunity to get to know one of our educators in a calm and stress-free environment. At the end of this session, you will receive a detailed assessment report and the teacher will discuss with you any areas where your child may benefit from support or extension.

3. We will place your child according to their assessment data so that they are working in a group that matches their learning needs, not necessarily their grade level. This allows us to closely target the learning needs of every student.

4. A member of our team will reach out to offer session times and to support you through the booking process.
