​​With a focus on explicit, targeted teaching within a positive and motivating environment, our small group learning sessions are designed to boost academic confidence and success in Literacy and Mathematics. With small group sizes, our experienced teachers are able to provide individualised attention, helping each student to reach their full potential. All teaching and learning programs are carefully designed in line with the latest 2.0 version of the Victorian Curriculum to support and extend our students. Our programs are further supported by evidence-based teaching and learning approaches. In Literacy, we follow the Science of Reading and teach synthetic phonics to help students build literacy skills in a structured and sequential way. In Mathematics, we focus on the Big Ideas to support students to build a strong conceptual understanding in number.​​

How it works:

​

1. Book in for a pre-assessment for either Literacy or Mathematics. If you would like your child to be assessed for both, you will need to book two separate appointments. Our current, introductory fee is at a reduced rate of $50 per assessment. This amount will be deducted from your payment when you book for your first term.

 

2. One of our experienced teachers will work 1:1 with your child to assess their individual learning needs. This is an opportunity to get to know one of our educators in a calm and stress-free environment. At the end of this session, you will receive a detailed assessment report and the teacher will discuss with you any areas where your child may benefit from support or extension.

3. We will place your child according to their assessment data so that they are working in a group that matches their learning needs, not necessarily their grade level. This allows us to closely target the learning needs of every student.
